I decided last minute to take a trip home to Wichita this weekend. I drove back on Friday and just about missed my Dad's show. It was a Final Friday show that ended at 7pm and my brother and I made it just in time. The show was titled "Tea for Two". In collaboration with another artist who paints they displayed a show full of color and human emotion. While installing the show, my Dad was asked to write an artist's statement and he picked up a piece of paper and wrote this statement:
I MAKE DO:
  make     believe
  make  it up
  make     noise
  make  a  mess
  make     friends
  make  it simple
  make     mistakes
  make  a  scene
  make     fun
  make  it happen
  make     time
  make  a  difference

David Murano 2012.

The woman running the show took the sheet of paper mounted it and hung it up. My Dad thought she would have retyped it or something. But I think she saw the raw emotion in it and it fit, hanging their up in the wall.

While in Wichita I also went to this huge flea market that was full of junk and also interesting gadgets and works.

Finishing up on the Rabbit project, I am going to try and print it all today so we will see how that goes. Usually if you think it will take 20 min it will take 2hrs......
