Playtime...
My focus is to move in a very creative and direction . I want to make sure all of the covers look very different so I can come up with the best work possible. So far things are good I just have to make sure that my cover says just enough but not too much.

TIME
Work on Playtime is going well, I am still learning in Illustrator and have also made progress on my design skills. My designs for Tuesday are 8 computer generated images of covers. Hopefully I am able to portray enough of the movie, even though it is pretty random! School will be over soon and I have to finish everything up before I run out of time!!!!

Playtime
Today we learned more in depth about Graphic Design and how important it is to tell just enough with your visuals. I am happy with my movie choice of PLAYTIME and feel that it will bring a successful final product. Also Tad spoke about passion projects and really taking the time to do those projects that you create on your free time. I wish I had more time to do all the ideas that fill my mind and hopefully I will have some this summer! I am also already thinking about my process book, for the end of this project!

New Project: Infographics= Electricity
So I began my homework after class on my info graphics. I started turning my sketching into illustrator files and the pressure began to build! I am not a graphics student and there are so many options, I don't know which direction to turn!! I am going to work my butt off to get all of these done, and hopefully they turn out well!!

I decided last minute to take a trip home to Wichita this weekend. I drove back on Friday and just about missed my Dad's show. It was a Final Friday show that ended at 7pm and my brother and I made it just in time. The show was titled "Tea for Two". In collaboration with another artist who paints they displayed a show full of color and human emotion. While installing the show, my Dad was asked to write an artist's statement and he picked up a piece of paper and wrote this statement:
The woman running the show took the sheet of paper mounted it and hung it up. My Dad thought she would have retyped it or something. But I think she saw the raw emotion in it and it fit, hanging their up in the wall.
While in Wichita I also went to this huge flea market that was full of junk and also interesting gadgets and works.
Finishing up on the Rabbit project, I am going to try and print it all today so we will see how that goes. Usually if you think it will take 20 min it will take 2hrs......
I MAKE DO:
make believe
make it up
make noise
make a mess
make friends
make it simple
make mistakes
make a scene
make fun
make it happen
make time
make a difference

The final project was revealed today and now it is off to make some good work! I went to Jayhawk Ink to ask them some questions before I try and go print. Overall I really enjoyed this project and can't wait to show my family what I came up with, since they have been a part of this project giving me feedback.

soup
I am on track so far, still trying to pin down a name for the truck and then on to a slogan. I just finished making some inspiration boards and am going to go do some thumbnail sketches. By Friday I should have a idea to be able to mold and critique.

Rabbit STUFF
I had a great talk with my dad the other day about rabbits and his art group called the Ginger Rabbits. We talked about the food truck and where I was headed with that idea. One of the ladys in his group owns a soup kitchen called Tanya's Soup Kitchen. I told my Dad that I wanted to do a soup truck and he mentioned that Tanya ( who is the pottery specialist of the group) was originally going to have her restaurant be in a food truck!!
I have been brain storming for the past couple days and am going in a good direction. I feel like my dominating shape in this design will be circles. Above is a sketch I did referring to the rabbit as the man in the moon.

Friends and Inspiration
I visited with my friend Emily Mullett this weekend, we had a
wonderful talk about this project and her Junior year in Graphic Design.
We are now on to the second half of 60 drawings and I am pushing forward.
It helped to get some inspiration from Emily and I hope my project looks as
creative as hers did. I feel like mine is going in a good direction and I may being
understanding the rabbit a bit better
