So for class today we did critiques and I felt like I got good responses to my work so I'm hoping I can keep a strong portfolio of work throughout the rest of the semester. I really enjoyed working with the word "extend" and I especially like the hands on cut and past part, the computer will be interesting but I enjoying using my hands the most! Some of the ones that I got the best feed back on I will post and then also some things that people told me to elaborate on was the letter X that is in my word and also my value variation with grays.

10/12/10
Good day of class! Lots to do over break and I'm hoping I will have enough time to get it all done! So glad I had people in class today to help me out or I would be even more lost in Photoshop and Illustrator, than I already am. Also Art Aid was a ton of fun this past weekend!!!

So this is my blog... I am at work right now and am thinking about my design homework!!! Lots to do but that is okay! I hope I will be able to figure out Illustrator and Photoshop before Tuesday! I am looking forward to my trip home this weekend in Wichita Ks for an event called ART AID and going to be tons of fun!! This is info about it the event-
ArtAID is taking things to a new level with ArtAID 17 “Sideshow”! Planet Hair is pulling out all the stops with an amazing runway show filled with LOTS of surprises - featuring more than more than 100 models and dancers and a few unexpected guests. As always, ArtAID is proud of the art we auction off each year and this year we have some incredible pieces from local and regional artists, in fact, more than 200 pieces have been donated! This year's featured artist, Tabitha Bean will be featured in both our live auction and silent auction. Get there early and enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Corporate Caterers and stick around after the runway show for live music from The Naughty Astronauts. All proceeds benefit Positive Directions, a non-profit organization that helps people in the Wichita area who live with HIV/AIDS. Sponsored by Planet Hair, The Greteman Group, 104.5 The Fox, The Kansas CW, Christopher Clark Designer Portraits and Bud Light.

I am officially frustrated with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator!!!!!!!!!! I have no experience in either of these programs and am totally lost! I have looked at tutorials but it is too much information all at once and there is no way I can produce the kind of images I want with my lack of education! Frustration...

In class today we did critiques and they went really well!
I loved seeing everyone's work and all the variety.
I think my biggest hurdle now is working with these images on illustrator, I also heard a lot of students mention the same thing in class.
Hope fully me images will turn out and it wont take eternity to finish them all up!
